Quantitative MR imaging method
نویسندگان
چکیده
Target Audience: Researchers and clinicians interested in quantitative MR imaging. Purpose: A patient receiving a typical MR exam can expect to lie in the scanner for as long as 45 min or so as the anatomy of interest gets repeatedly imaged, using a variety of tissue contrasts. The proposed approach allows the main MR parameters such as M0, T1, R2, R2′, B1 and B0 to be rapidly and quantitatively evaluated, so that any desired image contrast could, in principle at least, be computed rather than acquired.

Differentiation of active tumor from edematous regions of glioblastoma multiform tumor in diffusion MR images using heterogeneity analysis method
Background: Due to intrinsic heterogeneity of cellular distribution and density within diffusion weighted images (DWI) of glioblastoma multiform (GBM) tumors, differentiation of active tumor and peri-tumoral edema regions within these tumors is challenging. The aim of this paper was to take advantage of the differences among heterogeneity of active tumor and edematous regions within the gliobla...
متن کاملRecent Advances in PET-MR Hybrid contrast agent
Introduction: All of the Imaging modalities have advantages and disadvantages alone. So if we want to have the best and perfect image, combining these modalities produces something we desired. PET-MR images consist of morphologic and metabolic data. MRI and PET provide high spatial and contrast resolution and high sensitivity and molecular information respectively. Hybrid PET-...
متن کاملA fast model independent method for automatic correction of intensity nonuniformity in MRI data.
A novel nonparametric approach for correcting intensity nonuniformity in magnetic resonance (MR) images is described. This approach is based solely on the assumption that the various sources of nonuniformity in MR imaging give rise to smooth variations in image intensity, and that these variations can be extracted and corrected for. The advantage of this computationally fast method is that it c...
متن کاملComparison of state-of-the-art atlas-based bone segmentation approaches from brain MR images for MR-only radiation planning and PET/MR attenuation correction
Introduction: Magnetic Resonance (MR) imaging has emerged as a valuable tool in radiation treatment (RT) planning as well as Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging owing to its superior soft-tissue contrast. Due to the fact that there is no direct transformation from voxel intensity in MR images into electron density, itchr('39')s crucial to generate a pseudo-CT (Computed Tomography) image ...
متن کاملEnhancement of the low resolution image quality using randomly sampled data for multi-slice MR imaging.
Low resolution images are often acquired in in vivo MR applications involving in large field-of-view (FOV) and high speed imaging, such as, whole-body MRI screening and functional MRI applications. In this work, we investigate a multi-slice imaging strategy for acquiring low resolution images by using compressed sensing (CS) MRI to enhance the image quality without increasing the acquisition ti...
